Julia Vogtmeier has been active as an attorney at law in the field of Intellectual Property Law since 2005. Her legal career started with a leading international law firm in Düsseldorf. In 2007 Julia Vogtmeier joined Krieger Mes & Graf von der Groeben.

Julia Vogtmeier advises and represents national and international companies in all matters relating to intellectual property and unfair trade practice. Her main focus is patent and trademark infringement litigation. She also advises her clients on all aspects of design and copyright infringement as well as on issues of unfair competition, know-how protection and employee inventions.

Julia Vogtmeier studied law at the University of Münster, where she also achieved her PhD in copyright law under Prof. Dr. Thomas Hoeren. During her legal clerkship she gained professional experience in the field of Intellectual Property Law at an international law firm in Düsseldorf as well as at the Queen Mary Intellectual Property Research Institute in London. She also holds a master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law (“LL.M.”) from London University.   

Julia Vogtmeier lectures “Intellectual Property Law” at the Hagen Law School for attorneys who aim to become specialists in that field. She is a member of GRUR and the German national AIPPI group.
